Our Pastor is Brother David Helton. Pastor Helton was born in 1976 and born-again in 1986 at Mooresburg Baptist Church.  Pastor was called to preach after High School. He married his wife Kim in 1997 and they have 4 wonderful boys. Pastor Helton believes in preaching the Word of God. His sermons are Christ-centered and sin-hating. He has a zeal for helping people. Pastor loves the old-time way and will not compromise for anything or anybody.  Pastor has a great desire to help strengthen the home. He preaches with passion and zeal.  Pastor has given his life to God to serve at Higher Ground Baptist Church.

Pastor Helton has worked in bus and youth ministries and as an adult Sunday school teacher and preached revivals. His greatest joy is seeing people receive Christ. He loves God and has a desire to see the will of God done in his life. He loves to laugh and see people happy.  Pastor always makes the people at Higher Ground Baptist Church feel welcomed and loved.
