Our Preacher is Brother David Helton. Preacher Helton was saved in 1986 at Mooresburg Baptist Church at the age of 9. He was called to preach after High School. He married his wife Kim in 1997 and they have 4 wonderful boys, Elijah Boaz Helton, Samuel Jachin Helton, Matthew David Helton and Mark David Helton. Preacher Helton believes in preaching the Word of God. His sermons are Christ-centered and sin-hating. He has a zeal for helping people. He loves the old-time way and will not compromise for anything or anybody. Though not a popular preacher he is an honest one. He has a great desire to help missionaries and strengthen the home. He preaches with passion and zeal. He is a friend to Israel and loves the Jewish people. He has given his life to God to serve at Higher Ground Baptist Church. Preacher Helton has worked in bus and youth ministries and as an adult Sunday school teacher and preached revivals. His greatest joy is seeing people receive Christ. He loves God and has a desire to see the will of God done in his life. He loves to laugh and see people happy. He always makes the people at Higher Ground Baptist Church feel welcomed and loved.
