One of the greatest differences you will see at Higher Ground Baptist church is a genuine love for sinners. We are fulfilling the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ by going door to door telling others about Christ.

Most Churches today are removed from visiting the Community and seeking sinners. Another difference is the preaching; we believe the bible from cover to cover and will preach it. We will not compromise for anybody or anything! We only use King James and will only recognize it as the Word of God. The Preachers that preach at higher ground are biblically qualified as set forth by the word of god.

A major difference is also our independence. We are not part of any association or will ever be. The reason is simply that will not fellowship with other churches that do not use a King James Bible. We will not participate in any functions in which contemporary music and contemporary worship are involved. We see the lord as high , holy and lifted up and we will worship him in this manner.

The Pastor at Higher Ground Baptist Church has given his life to the church. We do not vote each year if he is God’s man for the church (how many times was Moses voted on?). He does not receive any salary or offerings from the Church. He works a secular job as he pastors. The will of God for him is to be pastor at higher ground Baptist church. Many Churches today a pastor only last 1 to 2 years. Our Pastor is here as long as God wills.

Missionary? Many churches have missionary in their name, however you never see any missionaries and they do not support any missionaries. Higher ground Baptist gives 50% of their offerings to missionaries as well as has them in periodically.
